If the eyes are the windows to our soul, then what does a camera lens capture? A good photograph has the power to transport us to another place - to take us away from the mundane and calm our very souls, if only for a moment. Over the years I've noticed that it takes dozens of photos just to arrive at the one that makes you sit up and say..."Wow". Here's hoping one of my photos is a "Wow" for you. Enjoy.

National Geographic! Yeah, Baby!!!
BIGGEST NEWS EVER!!!!!!
One of my pictures, "Laundry" (in the Deserts category), made the "Photo of the Day" on National Geographic's website!!!!!!! This is the holy grail of photography in my opinion. And I'm honored beyond belief to be in the Photo of the Day! I'm also in the Daily Dozen for the 2nd week of December, and if you click on the third link, you'll see my shot (taken in Tecopa Hot Springs, CA) is being used in a slide show in the "Most Popular Pics from January"!! (it starts with the snowflake...then the hippos...keep watching!) I'm stunnned... Truly... I just found out today (Feb 12th). I'm still in shock! Yay!!!!
NEW!!!!

Vintage Yosemite is under way! This exhibit of photos from 1921 will celebrate the 120th Anniversary of our beautiful park in 2010. There's still time to get in on this piece of history. If you're interested, e-mail me!
I'd like to congratulate my friends at Wild River Grille in Reno on their expansion! This lovely riverside setting is where my "Satellite Gallery" is located. Bare Walls? Picture This!
I have many super cool photographs for sale in various sizes, framed and unframed. Feel free to browse!
Click on the different categories on the right to see them, and keep in mind, all the pictures here are copyrighted, and I've greatly reduced the quality of the photos. The picture you'll receive will be clear, sharp, and gorgeous, have no fear!
I'd also like to point out that none of my pictures are doctored on the computer in any way. I don't think that looks natural to our eye. My pictures come straight off the camera, right onto Fuji photo paper!
Check back periodically. I'll be adding more pictures as I take them!

Custom Framing
Why on earth is framing so expensive??? I've asked myself that same question for years. The answer is: It doesn't have to be. I offer custom framing at prices almost half of what "the other guys" charge. Most frame shops mark up their prices 5 - 7 times what the materials cost. My mark up is about 2 times. Point being, I'd rather do a lot of jobs with little profit than rip people off. So bring in what you need framed and I'll set you up!
Vintage Yosemite
This is an amazing thing. I own several original photographs of from Yosemite in 1921. (pre-dating Ansel Adams) The pictures have been restored, and sponsors are lining up to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Yosemite in 2010. The photos are gorgeous! E-mail me if you're interested in being a part of this incredible, historic show! Christine@blueworldphotos.com
Etc...
I'd like to throw in a big "Thanks" to my favourite photo lab in Reno, Outdoor Plus. I get so many compliments on the quality of the prints they do.
Their enlargements are wonderful! They're exhibit grade photos, printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. (and I've seen the room-size printer they use. WOW!)
If you need anything printed, contact them. (and tell 'em Blue World Photos sent ya!)
