This page is a collection of articles, magazine shots, etc. with a few testimonials thrown in. Enjoy!
National Geographic, the holy grail of photography in my opinion, chose one of my photos "Laundry" (shot at Tecopa Hot Springs, CA) for their "Photo of the Day" for January 12th, 2010! (see the link below) It was also in the Daily Dozen in the second week of December, and has now made it in the "Most Popular Pics From January"!! As of my last look, they've been using it in a slide show on the "Photography" page on their website! (pictured below) I'm unbelievably flattered that they chose my picture. What an honor!!! Thank you, National Geographic!

Ta da! I guess I'm getting a little better at portraits, even though I'm a landscape girl at heart! This is the Winter/Spring Issue of Explore Sonora, which has my latest cover shot, as well as several pages that include my pics and articles I wrote. Check it out!
Blue World strikes again! The publisher asked me to come up with a Norman Rockwell style picture, so I did! There's also 14 other pictures in this magazine that I took. I'm taking the town by storm, I tell ya!

These were soooo cool. Flowers that look like big fried eggs. They're as big as your hand and really pretty! Note the "action shot" with the bee. And here I didn't think I could do portraits!
(if you're wondering about the toast on the ground, that has a very long story attached to it!)
The weirdest thing found in my former building was during a remodel when workers stumbled upon the remains of a mummified cat! Over the last two years, he's become quite the little tourist attraction in my shop. I've named it "Bast". (after the Egyptian Cat Goddess, of course. What else would you name a mummified cat??)
Meow....
And then Bast morphed into.......

Now THAT'S marketing. When you can take a dehydrated cat and turn it into a tourist attraction! I have Paul Bell to thank for this one. (www.paulbell.biz) He's a great designer, promoter, and marketing guy. (with a mind that never stops!)
(note the shadow of the cat over our shreiking heroine)

This is a great brochure that Paul made for me. It's come in handy on many ocassions!

This is an interesting thing I'm working on. I own about 30 Yosemite photographs from 1921 (pre-dating Ansel Adams) and I have a few possible sponsors to run a special showing of all the pictures to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Yosemite Park. They're amazing pictures! I'll have them for sale after the showing at www.vintageyosemite.com. Yay!
Here's the article that ran in the Fall Issue of Explore Sonora:

Yes, indeed. FOOD as a prize. That rocks! By the way, right after I took this, I bought one of the little mixed colour baskets, and I must say, those little buggers were YUMMY!
Get out the pom poms! It's time for a few comments from various customers at art shows and in my shop:
"You really have an eye!"
"Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL."
"You do very nice work."
"I'm so glad I came in here!"
"Thanks! That was very enjoyable."
"Fantastic eye!"
"These pictures really 'talk' to you."
"These are some of the nicest photographs I've ever seen."
"I like your stuff better than Ansel Adams."
"Your pictures are SO cool!"
"Amazing!"
"I've lived in Sonora for 30 years and I've never seen a picture of the Red Church like that."
"Wow! These pictures are GREAT!"
"It's amazing that you see the world like this!"
"AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!"
