Blue World Photos originated in Reno, Nevada and opened a gallery in Sonora, California on Halloween of 2008, and in 2013, relocated to Auburn, California.

The owner, Christine, has had a camera in her hand since she was 8 years old (a Kodak Instamatic to be precise), and has spent her entire life capturing moment after moment on film. Something in her early childlike mind has translated into later life, creating one-of-a-kind photographs with a unique and recognizable style.

Christine also has worked for local magazines as photographer and writer, as well as doing brochure and website photographs for a number of local businesses. Portraits have never really been her style, focusing more on (as she puts it) being a "landscape kinda girl".

Having won several Art Competitions in Reno and Sonora, as well as being displayed in a gallery in New York, and having her work on display in Wild River Grille in Reno for the past 3 years, Christine's biggest kudo to date was being featured on National Geographic's website, with Photo of the Day on January 12th, 2010, and as one of the Top Ten Photos of January 2010. (titled "Laundry")

Not bad for a little girl with a Kodak Instamatic, eh?
